STREAM
The name, which comes from the Tupi-Guarani language, means "canoe path".
through the joining of the terms ygara (canoe) and apé (path).
A stream that originates in the forest and flows into a river.
They are characterized by their shallow depth and by running almost entirely within the forest. Amazonian streams are an integral and essential part of the forest's functioning, as they act as ecological corridors.
Plots
The collection features basketry work in clothing and accessories, hence the name "Tramas" (Weaves). Considered a cultural heritage of indigenous peoples, the technique appears in belts, corsets, capes, and headpieces handcrafted from arumã and tucum fibers by 16 distinct indigenous communities. The name also refers to this network of ancestral connections.
PIRACEMA
Piracema is the name given to the period when some species of fish swim upstream to complete their life cycle and ensure the continuation of their species. The word comes from Tupi-Guarani and means "fish ascent" (pira = fish and cema = ascent). It is also a collection by the Amazonian designer Maurício Duarte.
